I thought that these were some hysterical memes. I love how the first one just directly shows how the Joad's expected California to be perfect. They thought that life in the West would be great and they would have great jobs. That obviously didn't happen and that was not surprising. I don't know how they just expected that the West wasn't suffering, but that is not my problem. I loved the second meme because lots of people working had very unstable wages. They would decide that the wages would have to go down and the workers had to suffer. All they wanted was the satisfaction of knowing that they were making enough money to support their family and put food on the table.
