I read THE GRAPES OF WRATH article. This article helps to give some insight on John's process when writing his novel. It gives an idea of what John Steinbeck saw in the migrant workers from the west. Which he then developed into his characters in his novel Grapes of Wrath. The article gives examples of what Steinbeck witnessed during this time period and how other people reacted during their journeys out west.
