Why are the guests so rude to Jane?

I feel the biggest reason is because Jane is a lower class then the guests are and yet she is at the party. They treat her like she is less. She sits near the side of the room to avoid being dragged in cause even she feels she doesn't belong. However you shouldn't judge people be social standards. Just cause Jane's a lower class doesn't make her any less a person. She still has feelings, and her feelings are clearly hurt when she tries to leave the party, even after Rochester asks her to stay.
