How does Lowood change Jane?

Going into Lowood it seems that Jane has not found her purpose in life.  Both of her parents have died and she doesn't know where she belongs. While with the Reed's she is always put down and being abused, but once arriving at Lowood it seems that she is slowly growing into who she wants to become. What do you think?

  1. Jane's acquaintances at Lowood change how she views life as a whole, and this is likely what causes Jane to begin her transformation into a very different person. She becomes less rebellious, but more independent. She hides her passionate nature better, rather than flaring up at minor grievances.
