What are some similarities between Jane and Bronte herself?
Both Jane Eyre and Bronte had hard upbringings or rough childhoods. Both of the lost people close to them at a young age. For Jane it was both of her parents while Bronte lost her mother to cancer. After the deaths of their loved ones they both went to live with their aunts and both situations were unfavorable for them. So what are some other similarities.

I agree that Jane Eyre and Charlotte Bronte both had rough childhoods. They both lost people close to them whether it was someone in their family or one of their friends. Because of this, they both grew up depressed. Another similarity is how they both eventually got tired of school and wished for a change.
