This made me giggle. The grapes aren't the one that are angry, it's the people. All the migrants wanted was to migrate out to California and work in a vineyard and live the rest of their lives happily. Obviously that didn't happen. The people were mad at the fact that the banks were taking money, the farmers weren't hiring, and minimum wage was dropping. So no, the grapes were not angry it was the migrant workers that couldn't find a job working with grapes.
