Why Does Mr.Rochester not do anything about the fire in his bed?
After Jane saves Mr.Rochester's life from his bed being caught on fire by Grace Poole, Mr.Rochester acts like normal. Why does he not fully react like most people would, or get upset at Grace Poole for nearly killing him? I personally believe it is because Mr. Rochester didn't want to make a big deal of it and wants to keep some things in the house a secret. I also think that since Mr. Rochester was planning on leaving soon after, he just thought he'd deal with her after he gets back.

I think this is weird. There has to be some sort of history between the two of them. I think Charlotte Bronte is foreshadowing here. There is definitely more to come.
