Who is Jane Eyre most like in our class?

I personally feel like I relate to Jane Eyre the most from her childhood past to her views on herself and life, but also her ideas with love. I can also see how some of our peers could possibly relate. Makayla, for example, is one who I feel would probably tie in a bit more than I would from her quiet demeanor and her past. I myself will not go into detail because it is not my thing to tell. I'm just curious to see what you say on this?

  1. I don't know Makayla that well but with the information you have given us I think that is a very valid point. I would have to say I agree with you and I believe she is most like Jane. But another good question would be who is most like Mr. Rochester or Grace Poole even. Obviously it is an opinion question, but I believe we have students in our class who are like the other characters.

  2. I didn't grow up like Jane did although I have lost a parent. I can very much so relate to the way that Jane talks. When she talks about love and beauty she says something similar to beauty is in the eye of the beholder and that she is not one to judge on whether or not someone is beautiful. I can also relate to how Jane likes to stay outside of the group and just listen to what is said and how it is said. She silently figures out who each person is and how they act without even speaking to them. This is also because she was told to be at the party but because she is only a governess, she would be talked down upon even more so if she were to try and converse with the other ladies.
