Is Jane Eyre Autobiographical?
I think Jane Eyre is autobiographical because many of the experiences and characteristics are the same in Jane Eyre and Charlotte Bronte. Although it is much more of a loose autobiography, there are still many connections between Jane and Bronte. Such as: personalities, settings, hardships through childhood, the many deaths they both go through (significant one for Jane was when Helen Burns died of tuberculosis, similarly Charlotte's two sisters died of the same disease as Helen), and overall, just the characters in Jane Eyre and how closely the resemble people in Charlotte's life.

I agree. Although character and setting names may change the circumstances that Jane is put through all seem to point to Jane Eyre being autobiographical at heart.
