Does Bessie play a bigger part in forming Jane's character ?

I have noticed throughout this book that Bessie has had the most interaction with Jane. And of everyone at Gateshead Jane has shown that she likes Bessie more than anyone else. Because Jane's parents died she has been raised with her cousins, and since her aunt doesn't care for her Bessie is the closest thing Jane has to a parent. Bessie has shown Jane the most love throughout the beginning of the book while she was staying at Gateshead. If Bessie was the only person caring for Jane just a little bit then Jane is going to look up to Bessie more than anyone else. This causes Jane's character to reflect the character of Bessie.
