Conspiracy Theory: Do you think Mr. Rochester is as crazy as Bertha?
It's disturbing that Mr. Rochester, a forty something year old man, is desperately in love with Jane, an eighteen year old girl, and thinks it's okay and normal. I also find it odd how he think's it's okay to marry Jane and abandoned his wife, even though she's insane. Doing something like that would mean you some sort of emotionless sociopath. Mr. Rochester also strikes me as someone who can become violent in a short amount of time because of the way he was acting with Jane when she was explaining to him that she was leaving. The conspiracy is that Mr. Rochester was planning on marrying Jane, getting rid of anyone who knew her, i.e Adele, and then murdering her on account of his secret socio/psychopathic behaviors.

I agree with you maybe not the murdering part but i see where you are coming from. Although I believe that Mr Rochester is obsessed with having a perfect life. First he wanted the perfect life with Bertha, then she went crazy. Then he wanted the perfect life with Celene giving her all the riches she could desire, but she was cheating on him and left him with a child. And finally when he wanted a perfect life with Jane. But that obviously didn't work out to well. So I think he will go crazy because Jane left. He was so close to his perfect life but then he lost it because of one of his past faults.
